Let’s Green CA! is part of the Romero Institute, a Santa Cruz-based nonprofit law and policy center with a 50-year legacy of winning justice for the people. We’re seeking an experienced Development Director who will design and implement successful fundraising strategies to help make California a leader in the movement to boldly and equitably address the global climate emergency.
In collaboration with leaders like Dolores Huerta and the Dolores Huerta Foundation, Let’s Green CA! is building grassroots support for an equitable clean energy transition that puts jobs, workers and frontline communities first. Our Electrify CA! Campaign—one piece of which is currently moving through the California State Legislature— aims to implement change from the ground up to create a healthy, sustainable, carbon-free California. The Development Director will work with our leadership team to aggressively develop fundraising campaigns and pursue grant opportunities to power our work forward.

Details:
Location: California
Compensation: $90,000 - $110,000, commensurate with experience. This position is full-time with benefits including healthcare, employer matched 401(k), and a generous time off package.
Preferred Start Date: Applications are reviewed as they come in, but the position is open until we find the perfect fit for our team.
Responsibilities:
You will create and execute an annual development strategy to increase support from individual donors, partners, and foundations, and you’ll identify new opportunities for growth. You will plan and execute major fundraising events and communication efforts, working closely with our Let’s Green CA! Program Director, Romero Institute Executive Director, Development Associate, as well as our digital organizing, communications, and video teams.
